Content removed by GooDiff

Some content in web documents may contain elements which change on every HTTP request, for instance web bugs, dynamically embedded advertisements or hyperlinks with session-specific components (...&session_id=bbag2f2d82ec2&...). If a web document monitored by GooDiff contains such "ever-changing" content, GooDiff would normally report a syntactically correct but semantically incorrect change of the monitored web document.

To counter this problem, GooDiff can be and is manually configured to treat such content in monitored web documents in a special way: GooDiff will replace the (ever-changing) content elements with a link to this page, i.e. http://www.goodiff.org/wiki/RemovedByGooDiff.

Example

The hyperlink

    <a href="http://www.foo.bar/ignored_url/with/session_specific_data/index.php?session_id=bbag2f2d82ec2">Monitoring legal documents</a>

in the source code of the original web document becomes

    [Monitoring legal documents](http://www.foo.bar/ignored_url/with/session_specific_data/index.php?|http://www.goodiff.org/wiki/RemovedByGooDiff)

in the mirror archive of GooDiff.
